Reminder: To better serve you, please have your 8 digit report number ready

To obtain a collision (accident) report:

1. At your local district station

Your local Montgomery County Police District Station provides collision reports 24-hours daily.  However, it takes approximately 3-5 days after the accident to process the report.  Please call your district station ahead of time to make sure the report is ready.  Each report is $10.00.  District Stations accept cash, check, money orders and credit cards for the purchase of reports.

 

2. At Police Headquarters, Information Management and Technology Division

Police Headquarters (100 Edison Park Drive, Gaithersburg) also provides collision reports Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm.  Please call Headquarters ahead of time (240-773-5330) to make sure the report is ready.  Headquarters accepts cash, check, money order and credit cards for the purchase of reports.

 

To obtain all other reports (burglary, theft, etc.):

2. By Mail

Send the request form along with a self-addressed stamped envelope and a check or money order for $10 (made payable to Montgomery County Police).  If mailing the request, mail to “Montgomery County Police Headquarters, IMTD” at 100 Edison Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD  20878.
