Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Fairland man.

James Sang Yu, age 52, of Hidden Valley Drive was last seen in Reston, Virginia on June 1.  Family stated that they have been unable to contact him since that time and reported Yu as missing today (June 10th).

Yu is described as an Asian male who is 5’ 9” tall and weighs 200 pounds.   He has black hair and brown eyes.

Police and family are concerned for Yu’s physical and emotional welfare.

Concern for Missing 73-Year-Old Man From Silver Spring (LOCATED)

Santiago Barahona

UPDATE:  Santiago Barahona has returned home safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Investigative Section, are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Silver Spring man.

On June 7, 2019, around 3:00 pm, family members last saw Santiago Barahona, age 73, when he visited a family member in the 2200 block of Georgian Way, in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Barahona’s whereabouts are unknown and he is not familiar with the area.  Barahona does not drive.  Police and family are concerned for his welfare.

Santiago Barahona is a Hispanic male, approximately 5’05”, weighing 180 lbs., with short grey hair.  Barahona is clean shaven and was last seen wearing an orange T-shirt, blue jeans, black shoes, and a camouflage baseball cap.

Concern for Missing Gaithersburg Woman

Beatriz Soriano Luna

Update: June 4, 2019 – Beatriz Soriano Luna has been located.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 6th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Gaithersburg woman.

Beatriz Soriano Luna, age 23, of McCullough Lane, was last seen at approximately noon today (Monday, June 3) when she left an appointment on Broschart Road in Gaithersburg driving her 2004 blue and gray Honda Element with Maryland tag: 2BY7891.  Luna is known to frequent the Westfield Montgomery mall in Bethesda.

Luna is described as a Hispanic female who is 5’ 6” tall and weighs 160 pounds. She has brown eyes, black hair, and wears glasses.  Luna was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

Police and family are concerned for Luna’s physical and emotional welfare.

Concern for Missing Gaithersburg Juvenile

Update: June 5, 2019 – Jessica Nadine Matamoros has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division are asking the public for help in locating a missing Gaithersburg juvenile.

Jessica Nadine Matamoros, age 13, was last seen by family on Friday, May 31, when she left her Cross Country Court home on foot.  Matamoros is described as a white female who is 5’ 2″ tall and weighs 108 pounds.  She has long black hair, brown eyes, and wears glasses.  Matamoros was last seen wearing a black jacket and red and green Christmas themed pajama pants.

Police and family are concerned for Matamoros’ welfare.

Missing Man from Silver Spring; Concern for Welfare

Justin Paul Francis Jefferson Smith

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing man from Silver Spring.

Justin Paul Francis Jefferson Smith, age 40, was last seen leaving his apartment located in the 8500 block of 16th Street in Silver Spring on Saturday, June 1st.  Mr. Smith does not have a vehicle.  Family members are concerned for his welfare and reported his absence to the police.
