Concern for Missing Germantown Man (LOCATED)

Update: December 2, 2019 – Philip Mayes has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 5th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing Germantown man.

Philip Mayes, age 27, of Lullaby Court, was last seen at his residence yesterday (November 28) at approximately 6:00 p.m.

Philip Mayes is approximately 5’11” tall, weighing 138 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

Police and family are concerned for Mayes’ welfare.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Philip Mayes is asked to call the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (available 24 hours).

Detectives Investigate Wheaton Gas Station Armed Robbery; Surveillance Photographs of Suspect Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the November 25 armed robbery of a Shell gas station in Wheaton.  Today, investigators are releasing surveillance photographs of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

On Monday, November 25, at approximately 4:37 p.m., 4th District officers responded to the Shell gas station located at 12401 Georgia Avenue for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.

The investigation by detectives revealed that the suspect entered the gas station and approached an employee who was working behind the counter.   The suspect implied that he was armed with a weapon and stole property and cash from behind the counter.  The suspect fled on foot and was last seen eastbound on Layhill Road.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect or this armed robbery is asked to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070.  Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.

Concern for Missing North Bethesda Woman (LOCATED)

Update: December 16, 2019 – Giselle Del Jones has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing North Bethesda woman.

Giselle Del Jones, age 52, of the 11800 block of Grand Park Avenue, was last seen at her residence yesterday (November 26) at approximately 5:00 p.m.

Del Jones is approximately 5’03” tall, weighing 120 pounds, with brown eyes and long brown hair.  She was last seen wearing a black jacket and jeans.

Del Jones is familiar with public transportation and may be using it to travel.

Police and family are concerned for Giselle Del Jones’ welfare.

Concern for Missing Juvenile Male from Silver Spring (LOCATED)

Update: January 2, 2020 – Jessie Felder has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police- Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s help to locating a missing juvenile from the Silver Spring area.

Jessie Felder age 16, of the 1900 block of East-West Highway in Silver Spring, was last seen leaving his residence on November 19 at 7:30 a.m.

Jessie Felder is approximately 5’ 11” tall, weighing 140 pounds, with brown eyes and short cropped brown hair.

Investigators believe that Felder may be in the area of downtown Bethesda or downtown Silver Spring.

The Police Department and family are concerned for Jessie Felder’s welfare. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Montgomery County Police Special Victims Division at 240-773-5400 or the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (24-hour line).

Detectives Investigate a Commercial Burglary and Vandalism in Gaithersburg

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police-6th District are investigating the commercial burglary and vandalism of the Oakwood Apartment Building located at 9890 Washingtonian Boulevard in Gaithersburg. Today, detectives are releasing surveillance video of the male suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him.

The investigation determined that on November 15 at approximately 12:09 a.m., the suspect entered the vestibule of the apartment building and forced entry into the lobby via the secured front door. Once inside, the suspect forced entry into a storage room and pushed over a washer and dryer. The suspect also caused damage to an interior wall of the building.

Investigators are asking anyone with information regarding this suspect to call the 6th District Investigative Section at 240-773-5770.
