Update: June 10, 2019 – Rick Calvin Brownlee has been located safe and unharmed.
Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing man.
Rick Calvin Brownlee, age 35, who was last known to reside on Scotland Drive, was last seen by staff when he left Cadia Healthcare Springbrook (located at 12325 New Hampshire Boulevard) in a wheelchair at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 26. Brownlee is believed to be in the company of his mother.
Brownlee is described as an African American male who is 5’ 4” tall and weighs 120 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes. Brownlee was last seen wearing a light blue hospital gown with green dots on it.
Police are concerned for Brownlee’s welfare.

Update: May 30, 2019 – Arnav Gupta has been located.
Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Bethesda area man.
Arnav Gupta, age 33, was last seen by family when he left his Cindy Lane home at approximately 9:20 this morning (Wednesday, May 29).
Gupta is described as an Indian male who is 5’ 9” tall and weighs 200 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes, a mustache, and wears glasses.
Police are concerned for Gupta’s physical and emotional welfare.

James Allen Booker
Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) have charged James Allen Booker, age 59, of Weymouth Street in Upper Marlboro, with the second-degree rape and third-degree sex offense of a 12-year-old female. These charges stem from a May 23rd incident where Booker drove the victim to her residence in Wheaton and then sexually assaulted her in his vehicle. Booker and the victim did not know each other prior to this incident.
The victim stated to detectives that on the afternoon of Thursday, May 23rd, she was walking home from school during a thunderstorm. As she walked home, the suspect pulled his vehicle alongside her and asked her if she would like a ride home. The victim accepted the suspect’s ride offer, entered his vehicle, and provided him with her home address.
The suspect drove the victim to her home and parked his vehicle in front of the victim’s residence. The suspect then sexually assaulted the victim as they sat in his parked car. After the assault, the suspect allowed the victim to exit his vehicle. The victim entered her residence and immediately told a parent about what had just occurred. That parent then contacted the police.
During the investigation, detectives identified Booker as the suspect. This afternoon (Tuesday, May 28th), Booker was arrested at his place of employment in the Wheaton area on the strength of a Montgomery County arrest warrant. Booker was transported to the Central Processing Unit where he was charged with one count of second-degree rape and one count of a third-degree sex offense. Bond information for Booker is not yet available.
Evelyn Louise Jackson
Update: May 28, 2019 – Evelyn Louise Jackson has been located safe and unharmed.
Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 86-year-old Aspen Hill woman with Alzheimer’s.
Evelyn Louise Jackson, of the 14100 block of Grand Pre Road last spoke with family members by telephone at approximately 1:00 yesterday afternoon. Family was unsure of Ms. Jackson’s location at the time of the phone call and they have been unable to contact her since that time. Family reported that Ms. Jackson is familiar with public transportation and has Alzheimer’s.
Ms. Jackson is described as an African American female who is approximately 5’1” tall and weighs 150 pounds. She has gray hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Evelyn Louise Jackson is urged to immediately call 9-1-1.
The Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal single-vehicle collision that occurred last night in Damascus.
On Sunday, May 26, 2019, at approximately 9:44 pm, officers from the 5th District and personnel from the Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Services responded to the report of a car fire on Laytonsville Road just north of Hawkins Creamery Road. When units arrived on the scene, they found a 2016 KIA Soul had struck a large tree. The vehicle’s sole occupant was an adult male who was deceased at the scene.
The driver was identified as Aaron Michael Girson, age 21, of Garfield Court in Gaithersburg.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the collision. Anyone with information regarding this collision is asked to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240-773-6620.
