Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District Investigative Section continue to investigate a December 9 residential burglary and a December 10 residential burglary that occurred in Potomac. Detectives believe that a male and a female suspect committed both burglaries. Today, detectives are releasing photographs of the suspects and are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.
On Sunday, December 9, at approximately 6:18 p.m., 2nd District officers responded to a home in the 9700 block of Avenel Farm Drive for the report of a burglary that had just been discovered. The investigation by detectives determined that the suspects forced entry into the home through a rear door, stole property, and fled out that same rear door.
On Monday, December 10, at approximately 1:00 p.m., 2nd District officers responded to a home in the 10100 block of Flower Gate Terrace for the report of a burglary. Construction workers had arrived at the residence to complete work in the home and discovered the male and female suspect inside the house. The suspects fled when they were confronted by the workers. Investigators recovered items that the two suspects had left in the home which were determined to have been stolen during the December 9 Avenel Farm Drive Burglary.
