Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the September 22 armed robbery of an Exxon gas station located at 12245 Veirs Mill Road, which is adjacent to the Stoneymill Square shopping center. Today, investigators are releasing surveillance video of four of the five suspects and composite sketches of two of the suspects are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.
On Friday, September 22 at approximately 11:34 a.m., 4th District officers responded to the Exxon gas station for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.
The investigation by detectives revealed that five suspects arrived at the gas station in a silver Chrysler 300 sedan. One suspect remained in the driver’s seat of the vehicle as the four additional suspects entered the Exxon with their faces concealed and armed with handguns. The four suspects confronted an employee who was working behind the counter and demanded money. The employee complied with the suspect’s demands. The five suspects fled from the area with an undisclosed amount of cash in the Chrysler 300.
Investigators believe that these suspects also committed the September 1 armed robbery of a food truck that was located in the parking lot of 12265 Veirs Mill Road. In this robbery, three suspects, who matched the description of the suspects involved in the September 22 armed robbery, obtained an undisclosed amount of currency from the food truck and fled from the area in a silver Chrysler 300.
