Detectives Seek Help from Public to Identify Commercial Armed Robbery Suspects; Surveillance Photographs Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division – Robbery Section are today releasing surveillance photographs of two suspects involved in a commercial armed robbery that occurred on August 8 at approximately 9:45 p.m. at the CVS/Pharmacy located at 9520 Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring. The public is being asked for assistance in identifying the suspects.

The initial investigation revealed that a male suspect armed with a handgun entered the CVS. With him was another male suspect who served as a lookout while the armed suspect committed the robbery. The store cashier and manager were forced at gunpoint to provide the cash contents of the store’s safe. Both suspects fled in an unknown direction.

The armed suspect is described as a male with fair to medium complexion, wearing a gray baseball cap, a gray scarf which covered the bottom half of his face, black shirt, black pants, and white tennis shoes.

The suspect, who served as a lookout standing by the store’s entrance, is described as a black male with a dark complexion and black dreadlocks/twists, wearing a green construction helmet, a yellow reflective vest, black tee shirt, and tan cargo pants.
