The Montgomery County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Aspen Hill area woman who has dementia. A Silver Alert has been activated for Nancy Johnson Nixon, age 81, of Homecrest Road in the Aspen Hill area.
Nancy Nixon was last seen today at approximately 2:00 p.m. at her residence. Nixon is described as a white female, 5’7″ tall, weighs approximately 170 pounds, with blue eyes and white hair. She wears glasses.
Nixon was driving a maroon, 2001 Honda Accord (four-door sedan) with Maryland tag: 5995DA and displaying a green bumper sticker.
Anyone with information regarding Nancy Nixon’s whereabouts or anyone who sees her vehicle is asked to call 9-1-1.
Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the February 11 armed robbery of a 7-Eleven convenience store in Silver Spring. Today, investigators are releasing surveillance video of the three suspects and are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.
On Saturday, February 11 at approximately 3:15 a.m., 3rd District officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 8619 16th Street for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.
The investigation by detectives revealed that an adult male employee was in the 7-Eleven office when the three suspects entered the store. The employee, upon hearing the suspects enter, exited the office and observed that one suspect was behind the counter and had removed the drawers from two cash registers. Another suspect, who was armed with a handgun, confronted the employee and instructed him to return to the office. The employee complied with the suspect’s order and all three suspects then fled from the 7-Eleven.
The suspects can be seen on store surveillance video entering a dark colored four-door sedan that was parked in front of the store. The vehicle left the parking lot of the 7-Eleven and was last seen traveling on 16th Street toward Georgia Avenue.

Suspect Believed To Have Committed Two Commercial Armed Robberies
Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division are investigating two armed robberies that were committed at the same business and are believed to have been committed by the same suspect. Today, detectives are releasing surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.
On Friday, February 3 at approximately 9:30 p.m., 5th District officers responded to the Middlebrook Discount Beer & Wine located at 19601 Frederick Road in Germantown for a report of an armed robbery. The investigation has revealed that the suspect entered the store, held a knife to the cashier, and demanded money. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled from the business.
On Monday, February 13 at approximately 5:05 p.m., 5th District officers responded to the Middlebrook Discount Beer & Wine for the report of an armed robbery. The suspect, believed to be the same suspect who robbed the store on February 3, entered the store, displayed a knife, threatened the cashier, and demanded money. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled from the business.
The store cashier reported to detectives that during both robberies the suspect stole a bottle of Arbor Mist wine from the store.

Hilmer Anibal Espino
Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Special Victims Investigations Division are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing teenager from the Woodside area of Silver Spring.
Hilmer Anibal Espino, age 16, of the 8800 block of Lanier Drive, has been reported missing by his family. Espino is described as a Hispanic male, 5′ 6” tall, and weighing 130 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Espino has tattoos of the cartoon character Snoopy on his chest and the word “Estella” on his left arm.
Police and family are concerned for Hilmer’s welfare.

Philip Richard Horner
Detectives from the Montgomery County Police – 1st District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing Rockville area man.
Philip Richard Horner, age 62, who resides at the Montgomery County Men’s Emergency Shelter located at 600 East Gude Drive has been reported missing by shelter staff.
Horner is described as a white male, 5’ 9” tall and weighing approximately 145 pounds. He is balding with brown and gray hair and has brown eyes. Horner is known to frequent the Rockville Town Center area.
Horner does not have his prescribed medication with him and police and family members are concerned for his emotional and physical well-being.
