Detectives from the Montgomery County Police – Major Crimes Division are asking for the public’s help to identify two suspects who committed a commercial robbery at a department store in Chevy Chase. Today, detectives are releasing composite sketches of both suspects.
On July 25 at approximately 4:05 p.m., 2nd District officers responded to the Saks Jandel department store located at 5510 Wisconsin Avenue for the report of a robbery that had just occurred.
The investigation revealed that the suspects entered Saks Jandel and stole three purses having a total value over $5,900. A Saks Jandel loss prevention officer attempted to stop the suspects from stealing the items and was pepper sprayed by one of the suspects. The suspects were last seen on foot heading towards the Friendship Heights Metro station.
The first suspect is described as an African American male in his 20’s with a dark complexion. He is approximately 5’08” tall and was wearing a waist length wig, a pink and beige halter top, a denim skirt, and beige sandals.
The second suspect is described as an African American female in her early 20’s with a dark complexion. She is approximately 5’05” to 5’07” tall with a thin build. She was wearing a multicolored knit shirt, shorts, and Versace sunglasses with a black and gold logo on the sides.
