Ellen Mackey of the 9500 block of Lindale Drive in Bethesda has been located safe and unharmed. The Silver Alert has been cancelled.

Detectives from the 2nd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 83-year-old woman who has Dementia.
A Silver Alert has been issued for Ellen Mackey of the 9500 block of Lindale Drive in the Wyngate neighborhood of Bethesda. Ellen Mackey was seen leaving her home yesterday, September 29, in her vehicle.
Ellen Mackey is described as a white female, approximately 5’3” tall, and weighing 110 pounds. She has dark hair and blue eyes. Ms. Mackey was last seen wearing a white, long sleeve shirt and a black and white skirt. She was last seen driving a white, 2008 Chrysler Sebring convertible with Maryland license plate: 7FRT29.
Anyone with any information regarding Ms. Mackey’s whereabouts is asked to call the Montgomery County Police Department immediately call 9-1-1.
Update October 6: Victim identified in single-vehicle fatal collision in Darnestown. The victim is being identified as Donte Isaah Hamilton, age 20, of the 18700 block of Jerusalem Church Road in Poolesville.
Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department-Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are investigating a single-vehicle fatal collision that occurred today in Darnestown.
This morning at approximately 3:08 a.m., 1st District officers and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to Darnestown Road between Route 107 and Bellingham Drive for the report of a single vehicle collision.
Preliminary investigation indicated that the vehicle was travelling east bound on Darnestown Road (Route 28), east of the Route 107 junction. For reasons still under investigation, the passenger vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree off the eastbound shoulder, and came to rest on its side on the westbound shoulder of Darnestown Road. At some point during the crash, the vehicle became engulfed in flames. The adult male driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
This collision remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240-773-6620. Callers may remain anonymous.
Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division – Robbery Section are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in a commercial armed robbery in Wheaton. Today, detectives are releasing a surveillance photograph of the suspect.
On September 15 at approximately 8:30 p.m., 4th District officers responded to the Giant store located at 2900 University Boulevard West in Wheaton for the report of an armed robbery. The investigation revealed that the black male suspect stole approximately $100 worth of Tide laundry detergent from the store and when confronted by the manager, threatened him with a large knife. The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot towards the area of University Boulevard West.
Anyone with information about this suspect or the robbery is asked to call the Montgomery County Police – Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100.
