Police Seek Public’s Help to Identify an Armed Robbery Suspect

candyman4Detectives from the Montgomery County Police – Major Crimes Division are asking the public for help to identify a person of interest in an armed robbery in Kemp Mill.

On July 21, at approximately 5:35 p.m., 4th District officers responded to “The Candy Man” candy store located at 1351 Lamberton Drive in Kemp Mill for the report of an armed robbery. The investigation revealed that the suspect asked the cashier for change for a dollar. The cashier opened the register to provide the change and the suspect produced a knife. The cashier fled and immediately called the police.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5’9” to 6’ tall, weighing between 170 and 200 pounds. He has short black hair and possibly a mustache. At the time of the robbery, the suspect possibly had a chain hanging from his shorts.
