Detectives Investigate Silver Spring Business Robbery

Detectives from Montgomery County Police-Major Crimes Division are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on January 9 in Silver Spring. On January 9 at approximately 12:49 a.m., three male suspects entered 7-Eleven located at 8455 Colesville Road.  They threatened the store employee who fled to the back of the store.  The suspects removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the store registers and fled the area. These suspects have also been linked to active cases in Washington, D.C. and Anne Arundel County.  Today MCP detectives are releasing photographs of the suspects and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects.

Suspect One:

  • Black male
  • 5’5” to 5’6” tall
  • 120-140 pounds
  • Approximately 20 years old
  • Wearing black clothing, a gray mask, and sunglasses

Suspect Two:

  • Black male
  • 5’5” to 5’6” tall
  • 120-140 pounds
  • Approximately 20 years old
  • Wearing a black hoodie and orange or red mask

Suspect Three:

  • Unknown race male
  • 5’09” to 5’11” tall
  • 160-190 pounds
  • Approximately 20 years old
  • Wearing an orange or red hoodie and a black ski mask

There may have also been two witnesses to the robbery.  Detectives would like to speak with them and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the possible witnesses.

  • Last seen wearing a blanket and a flap hat

Possible Witness Two:

  • Black male
  • Approximately 20 years old
  • Average build
  • Wearing a black jacket and black hat
