Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department-Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the missing persons case of Catherine Hoggle and her two children, Jacob and Sarah. At this time, the Department is deeply concerned about the welfare of the children.
Today, in addition to releasing video surveillance of Catherine Hoggle, detectives are releasing information that they have learned during this investigation:
- Detectives believe that Catherine Hoggle was driving in the area of the Harris Teeter store at the intersection of Darnestown Road and Seneca Road on the afternoon of Sunday, September 7. She was driving a family member’s 2012 gray Nissan Rogue SUV. She does not have this vehicle at this time.
- Catherine Hoggle was captured on video in the area of Route 118 (Germantown Road) between the area of Interstate 270 and the Germantown Commons shopping center on Middlebrook Road on Tuesday morning, September 9 at approximately 4:30 a.m. The children are not seen in the video.
- Detectives are in the process of applying for criminal charges against Catherine Hoggle.

Today, detectives are releasing surveillance video of Catherine Hoggle at the Chick-fil-A in Germantown on the afternoon of Monday, September 8. (Before going to the police station, Troy and Catherine stopped at a restaurant near the Germantown Transit Center (located at 19945 Aircraft Drive). Unbeknownst to Troy, Catherine left the restaurant and he then contacted police. A K9 bloodhound track indicated that Catherine had exited the restaurant and walked to the Germantown Transit Center).
