Concern for Missing Rockville Woman

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department-6th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Rockville woman.

Police are concerned for the emotional welfare of Bonnie Sue Green, age 55, of the 9700 block of Skyhill Way in Rockville.  She was last seen at her residence today at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Bonnie Sue Green is described as a white female, 5’ 3”-5’4″ tall, and weighs approximately 130 pounds.  She has red hair and brown eyes.

Detectives Investigate Attempted Armed Robbery in Silver Spring

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police 3rd District Investigative Section are investigating an attempted armed robbery, that left the victim with serious injuries.

On Monday, September 29, at approximately 7:46 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to the Forest Park Apartments in the 9300 block of Piney Branch Road, for the report of an attempted armed robbery that had just occurred. The investigation revealed that the adult female victim was walking in the area of the apartment complex when she was approached by the suspect, who demanded money. When she refused, the suspect knocked her to the ground and attacked her with a knife.  A passing citizen observed the attack and called police.  The suspect fled on foot towards the apartment complex.  Arriving officers rendered first aid to the victim, who was gravely injured, but who is now stabilized and expected to survive.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male of medium height, wearing a scarf over his face, and wearing a dark shirt.

Fatal Collision in Olney

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department-Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are investigating a fatal collision that occurred this morning in Olney.

At approximately 5:29 a.m., officers and Montgomery County Fire&Rescue responded to a personal injury collision on Olney-Laytonsville Road (Route 108) at Volunteer Drive (Volunteer Drive is the road that leads to OBGC Community Park).

Preliminary investigation indicates that a 2001 Ford F250 pickup truck was traveling west on Olney-Laytonsville Road.  A 2010 Toyota RAV4 was traveling east on Olney-Laytsonville Road.

For reasons still under investigation, the Ford pickup truck drifted off the roadway and then corrected back onto the roadway.  The Ford then crossed the double yellow lane markings and struck the Toyota in the eastbound lanes of Route 108.

The driver of the Toyota was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.   She is being identified as Leanna L. Muller, age 51, of the 5800 block of Griffith Road in Laytonsville.  She was wearing a seat belt.

The driver of the Ford was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  He is being identified as Kenneth James Turner, Jr., age 25, of the 10700 block of Senedo Road in Mount Jackson, Virginia.  Investigation revealed that during the overnight hours, Turner had had been paving a road as an employee of the Francis O Day Company.  At the time of the collision, Turner was en route to the following night’s work site to drop off equipment.  The vehicle that Turner was driving at the time of the collision is registered to Francis O Day Company.

Drugs and/or alcohol do not appear to be factors in this collision.

Concern for Missing Rockville Woman

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department-4th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Rockville woman.

Police are concerned for the emotional and physical welfare of Cornelio Paddack, age 72, of the 4600 block of Brad Court in Rockville.  She was last seen today at approximately 3:30 p.m. at a bus stop at the Rockville Metro Station (located at 251 Hungerford Drive).

Cornelio Paddack is described as a white female, 5’ 1” tall, and weighs approximately 179 pounds.  She has brown hair and brown eyes.
