Police Seek Assistance in Robbery of the Bank of America in Silver Spring

 

On May 29, 2014, police responded around noon to the Bank of America located at 8511 Georgia Ave for the report of a bank robbery.

Investigation revealed the suspect entered the bank, approached the bank teller, and passed a note and bag through the teller window announcing a robbery.  The suspect then fled the scene without obtaining any money.

Serious Accident on Middlebrook Rd and Great Seneca Highway

Montgomery County Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating a serious accident that occurred at 0211 hours Friday morning. Emergency communication, 911, received a call from a passing citizen that a vehicle was on its’ side at Middlebrook Road and Great Seneca Highway, in the Germantown area. Officers arrived and found a Jeep SUV up an embankment. Two adult male occupants were trapped in the vehicle. Montgomery County Fire Rescue responded and assisted the occupants. The passenger was treated and released from an area hospital. The driver is in serious condition at a trauma center.

Due to the investigation that is ongoing, the intersection at Middlebrook Road and Great Seneca Highway will be closed thru morning rush hour.

Concern for Missing Germantown Man

Detectives from the 4th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Germantown man.

Eqrem Tabaku, age 66, of the 11400 block of Tulip Poplar Terrace in Germantown, was last seen on May 29 in Rockville. Tabuka is known to operate a 2003 Toyota Sienna van, green in color, with Maryland license plates M923334.

Tabaku is described as a Middle Eastern male, 5’8” tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds.

Police and family are concerned for Mr. Tabaku’s emotional and physical well-being.

Police Seek Assistance with Bank Robbery of Wells Fargo Bank in Bethesda

On 05/28/2014 at approximately 4pm, Montgomery County Police responded to the Wells Fargo Bank located at 7901 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, Maryland for the report of a bank robbery.

A suspect entered the bank and passed a note to a teller demanding money.  The note indicated that he had a gun.  The subject then exited the bank without obtaining any money.

The Montgomery County Police are asking the public for any information regarding the incident.  Please call 301-279-8000 if you have any information.

The suspect is described as a black male, between the ages of 30 and 40, 5’07 to 5’09 and weighs approximately 160 to 180 pounds.
